PhilosophyWe build because we believe we can imagine beautiful and wonderful ways of living. Architecture is the fundamental demonstration of this belief. In this light, Architecture becomes the basic way we mark the Earth and make place. These marks will become the remains of our living, and Architecture must reconcile the act of building with the natural place, and the natural gifts of matter with which we build. Architecture aspires to be as good as what it replaces. These ideas contribute to guide our work and inform our marks on paper, even as they are on the ground. |
