We use BIM (Building Information Modeling) software to produce 3-dimensional building models, as well as construction documents. This allows the design team and client to work with 3D models from the very inception of design. This means that clients can change, adjust and question the project model with modifications made in real time. The model can be made into renderings and walkthroughs during any stage of the project work. Besides sophisticated computer software, we still produce many renderings by hand. We feel that hand drawing is the basic tool in Architecture, and most projects begin by putting pencil to paper. We also produce physical Architectural wood models. These are sometimes concept study models, or can be refined, more detailed and crafted scale models for use in public forums and fundraising. The physical wood model is the most viable and immediately understood form of Architectural representation. |
