Ocean Lakes High School has 2,431 students and is the largest high school in Virginia Beach. It houses the Math and Science Academy. This 40,000-sf project, completed in 2007, added 15 science labs and renovated six classrooms and offices.

Designed as a science cluster distint from the existing building, the new addition is treated as part of the high school campus and is connected by two glass bridges. The labs are state-of-the-art science facilities with continuous work counters running along ribbon windows offering natural light and panoramic views of the sports grounds.
